In addition to his business ventures, Subhakar Rao lends his support to educational programs on behalf of impoverished schools and communities. Beginning in 2005, Mr. Rao searched for ways to provide superior educational access to students who otherwise could not afford to pay for books, fees, and other supplies. Over the course of six years, he provided funding to pay these costs for 300 children, which enabled them to attend school. The program is now known as the Champions Life Long Learning Society. A second project, the Young Champions Leadership Camp, also operates on a charitable basis and teaches Indian teens the values of leadership, character, and confidence.
